IGNITION CREATIVITY PROGRAM
This program builds organizational capabilities and habits that impact the way people work every day, leading to increased cycles of innovation.
We take participants through a series of ‘Bootcamp’ workshops that starts with building self-awareness and awareness of others (customers, colleagues, direct reports). An identified challenge in the business is the Action Learning Project for teams, where they learn, practice, and apply agile, human-centered design and creative problem-solving methodologies. Coaching sessions occur between Bootcamps to support the implementation and learning. Throughout, behaviors and habits are developed to nurture a creative mindset to challenge conventional thinking and ways of working. While working on tackling the complex challenges in their Action Learning Project, participants are being trained to take the insights and learning back to their desks.
Inspire and enable people to think ‘bigger’: Each experience and component has an element to enable new insights that can be applied to solve the team challenge and leverage learnings back at ‘their desk’ working on other innovation initiatives.
Develop leadership capabilities in both creativity and innovation: The Sprint will stretch each team member in the way they work, unlock innovative thinking, and ignite leaders to generate new ideas and challenge each other to elevate the quality and quantity of ideas.
Mobilize agility and human-centered design innovation methodologies: Key tools, skills and the mindset of effective innovation methodologies will be practiced within the Action Learning Project. Teams will explore empathy and keeping the ‘user’ at the center of their project work and ways to pressure test ideas, embrace fast failure, quick cycles of learning, and pivot where needed to unlock new thinking, behavior and actions to solve for the team challenge.
Optimize collaboration: The design includes both synchronous and asynchronous programming to encourage team engagement and collaboration to ensure the application of the concepts and ideas. The role of Climate to generate a collaborative environment for creativity and innovation is taught and applied.
Promote reflection and action: Throughout the program, moments of reflection are embedded to enable participants to share their insights in an interactive exchange and to apply the learning to their situation. This gives space for participants to reflect and capture personal and team learning as a result of their experience (so what, what now?)
